The Senior Consultant is a predominantly client-facing role, working with clients to rapidly identify key marketing challenges and opportunities before partnering to execute and deliver the improvements needed to deliver tangible business outcomes. The nature of the role means that our consultants major in marketing but engage extensively and highly successfully with functions and partners specialising in Sales, Finance and Technology.
Senior Consultants are mainly focused on the day-to-day leadership of accounts as they develop and execute plans for new and existing clients. However, there is a focus on – and material reward for – winning new clients and developing incremental business with existing customers. Emmet team members are highly focused but highly personable, building long-term relationships based on trust, delivery, and reliability.
This role has two primary areas of focus
You’ll work with Emmet clients to identify business challenges or blockages impacting client business. Working as an extended member of our client’s business, you’ll execute recommendations and campaigns and implement change.
You’ll also work with the Emmet team to build our own brand presence and support new business development.
About you
Deeply experienced marketeer across as many elements of the marketing mix as possible, with a minimum of 5 years of B2B marketing experience, with experience in Education (school and/or tertiary) marketing advantageous but not essential
You’ll have a proven track record in delivering tangible, commercial improvement from the development and execution of annual or longer-range marketing plans.
With a combination of marketing consultancy and/or agency work, coupled with client-side experience (highly desirable but not essential).
A demonstrated ability to, and enjoyment in, flexing between strategic thinking, programme planning, and relentless execution and a high level of digital marketing experience, which may include a combination of ‘hands-on’ and/or time in a digital marketing leadership role
You’ll be heavily commercially driven, continually focused on building and executing plans that deliver tangible return on investment.
You’ll have a strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, Paid, and social, enabling you to develop client strategies effectively and work with digital marketing agencies.
You’ll thrive on the mental challenge of learning about different organisations and industries, addressing differing client needs, and driving change day to day.
You will be highly organised and comfortable driving execution. You have exceptional project skills, including managing marketing programmes and campaigns.
You’ll hold a postgraduate marketing degree and potentially further qualifications such as an MBA.
